Hosting accounts have exceeded the allowed limit

Issue

• The error message "Hosting accounts have exceeded the allowed limit" in the CloudLinux Manager UI:

• The following error upon attempt to activate the license key: "The license you are trying to register with allows a maximum of 1 hosting accounts which is less than 10 users detected on this server"

Environment

• CloudLinux SOLO

Solution

a. Reduce the number of active users on the server

• This involves removing unnecessary user accounts to align with the Solo edition's limitations

b. Upgrade to a compatible license:

• Choose a license that matches the number of active accounts currently on your server
• Refer to our documentation for available editions and their specifications
• Other editions, such as CloudLinux OS Shared Pro, offer more advanced features for shared hosting environments. To switch between CloudLinux editions, please follow this guide

Cause

Using the SOLO Edition with a number of users greater than one user:

• The current CloudLinux Edition installed on your server is CloudLinux OS Solo.
• This edition is specifically designed for installation on VPS or dedicated servers with single-user environments (a single hosting account for any number of websites), as outlined in our documentation. 
  
• CloudLinux OS calculates the actual number of user accounts by counting unique system users (UIDs) actively hosting websites, to which individual LVE limits can be applied.

Alternatively, the issue can occur because the marker file `/etc/cloudlinux-edition-admin` was not associated with any package, so it remained after the CL Admin metapackages were removed. The system should now correctly identify itself as CL Shared.
