Issue
The customer wants to upgrade [downgrade] only some of their CloudLinux OS Legacy [CloudLinux OS Shared Pro] to CloudLinux OS Shared Pro [CloudLinux OS Legacy] inside the IP-based licensing account and both products are registered as IP based licenses.
Environment
- IP-based licensing account
- IP-based licenses
- CloudLinux OS Legacy
- CloudLinux OS Shared Pro
Solution
Customers can upgrade/downgrade the CloudLinux OS license(s) directly inside the IP-based licensing account by following the steps below:
- login to your customer portal
- click on CloudLinux OS on the top grey banner
- click on IP licenses on the black menu on the left
- click on the checkbox for those IP addresses you wish to upgrade/downgrade
- delete them with the trash bin icon on the right side
- click on Add IP
- on the dialog box displayed, add the IP address and select CloudLinux OS Shared Pro/CloudLinux OS Legacy from the dropdown menu and click on Add IP (repeat this process for as many IP addresses as you wish to upgrade)
If the upgrade/downgrade is done before the month ends, you will only be charged for the upgraded/downgraded product on your next invoice. Example: if you upgrade a license from CloudLinux OS Legacy to CloudLinux OS Shared Pro during the month of November, on December 1st, 2024 when you are billed for the usage of November 2024, you will only be charged for CloudLinux OS Shared Pro.
