Following the announcement of the X-Ray feature, we've prepared a short FAQ in case you have some questions about it.
For installation/managing instructions, visit this Documentation page.
Q. How can I start testing PHP X-Ray?
A. Find more information about how to become a beta tester on this page.
Q. What's the impact of updating LVE Manager to a testing version in production environment?
A. Packages from the testing repository are supported the same way as those from the stable repository, so it is safe to install them on production systems.
Q. I've installed X-Ray packages and signed up for it, but the feature is not available in LVE Manager.
A. X-Ray sign-ups are reviewed and approved manually. This may take some time; once your application is reviewed, you will receive an email confirming that.
Note that if your application for X-Ray has been approved, the feature will still not work on unsupported control panels.
Q. What control panels are supported?
A. X-Ray works on cPanel, Plesk, and DirectAdmin-based servers.
Q. Are all CL OS features still available after I apply CL OS+ (X-Ray) license key? How can I revert back to my existing CL OS license after the trial expires?
A. Yes, all CL OS features are included in CL OS+ license. See the question below on how to re-activate your CL OS license.
Q. I've purchased my CloudLinux OS license somewhere else (not directly with CL). Can I still use X-Ray?
A. The X-Ray feature is available only to non-reseller CLN accounts. If you need to test X-Ray on your server, start a CL OS trial by registering your own CLN account. Click "Become a beta tester" inside your CLN account to apply for the CL OS+ (X-Ray) trial. After receiving the confirmation, apply the activation key by running:
/usr/sbin/rhnreg_ks --force --activationkey=<activation key>
After the CL OS+ (X-Ray) trial expires, use the same command (with your CL OS activation key) to re-activate your CL OS license. If your CL OS license is an IP-based, just run
