ModSec (WAF) ruleset is outdated

Issue

There is an error that ModSec (WAF) ruleset is outdated.

Environment

• Imunify360

Solution

Update the ModSec (WAF) ruleset by running the following command:

imunify360-agent update --force modsec-rules

Be sure that Imunify360 agent has access to their servers for downloading rulesets (usually, it can be checked in /var/log/imunify360/error.log or console.log)

If you haven’t disabled rule updates in ModSecurity, you can create a ticket and provide access to the server, and we will investigate the reasons for this issue. By default, the rules should update automatically.
