Issue
-
Some LVE enabled users have RAM usage at 100%, and they have low number or no processes at all
-
Some LVE enabled users have invalid values in
/proc/bc/lveXXXX/meminfo
where the total mem, cache, active... shows the total amount of the same values from the server itself. So the user has no free memory based on LVE parameters. -
cagefsctl remount
temporarily resolves it, but after several hours the issue comes back. - Disk cache usage is not an issue
Environment
- CloudLinux 7
- Kernel version:
3.10.0-962.3.2.lve1.5.68.el7
or3.10.0-962.3.2.lve1.5.67.el7.x86_64
Solution
Update kernel version to 3.10.0-962.3.2.lve1.5.70.el7 or newer by using the following command:
# yum update kernel --enablerepo=cloudlinux-rollout-2-bypass
Note: At the moment the kernel package is in rollout slot, thus it may be instable and you can always disable rollout on your server using this article.
