Why "fs.symlinkown_gid" reset after reinstall or update KernelCare tool?

Issue

During the update or reinstall process of the KernelCare tool the "fs.symlinkown_gid" value can be reset. 

Environment

• KernelCare
• CloudLinux OS 7/8

Solution

This is normal behavior,  the1006is a default value into whichsymlinkown_gidis reset after each update, this is how it is designed and it's not a bug.

Please putfs.symlinkown_gid = XX (where XX depends on GID of your Web Server) into the/etc/sysconfig/kcare/sysctl.confto work out the issue you faced.
