High CPU load from imunify-realtime-av process

Issue

The imunify-realtime-av process generates abnormally high CPU resource consumption.

Environment

• Imunify360 6.8.2 and lower.
• imunify-realtime-av

Solution

The issue with the high load from the imunify-realtime-av process has been fixed in Imunify360 6.8.3. The availability of the update can be tracked on the changelog page.

Temporary workaround to reduce the load on the server with Imunify360 versions less than 6.8.3:

imunify360-agent config update '{"MALWARE_SCANNING": {"optimize_realtime_scan": false}}'
