The "websocket failed to connect" error on cPanel Terminal (Webshield)

Issue

When using the user end terminal in cPanel, the following error appears:

websocket failed to connect

Environment

• Imunify360
• WebShield prior 1.22.2
• cPanel with account protection enabled

Solution

The fixed version was shipped with WebShield 1.22.2 (DEF-24916). It is required to update to the latest version of Imunify360 to fix this issue. This is the best option.

A quick patch for headers is available in DEF-24878. If you choose this way, please download a file and run the script with the command:

bash name_of_file.sh
