How do I change edition and upgrade from CloudLinux OS Admin/Solo to CloudLinux OS Shared?

Can I upgrade from CloudLinux Admin to CloudLinux Shared/Pro?

Environment

• CloudLinux OS Solo
• CloudLinux OS Admin

Solution

In the current version of cldeploy, there is no option to switch from OS Admin/Solo.

If you already have a server with a Solo/Admin license and want to switch to a CloudLinux OS Shared edition license, you must purchase a valid license via your CLN account and do one of the following:

• Clean installation from ISO (make sure to select Minimal from the Software Selection screen to install the Shared edition).
• Deploy a new server with CentOS, Almalinux, or Rocky and convert it to CloudLinux OS using the CloudLinux OS Shared/Shared Pro key.
• Uninstall CloudLinux OS and reinstall it using your Shared/Shared PRO key.
