Intermittent 503 Errors After Updating Imunify360 PHP Packages

Issue

Web applications or hosted sites are experiencing intermittent 503 errors after updating Imunify packages.

Environment

• imunify360-php-i360-8.2.3-1
• imunify360-php-daemon-8.2.3-1
• CloudLinux

Solution

• Downgrade the packages to the previous stable version 8.2.2 to restore functionality.
• If immediate rollback is not possible, you may apply a temporary workaround by commenting out the extension=i360.so line in the php.ini configuration file and remounting the affected user within CageFS to ensure the changes take effect should do the trick.

Cause

The i360.so extension has been identified as affecting the functionality of IonCube.
