How to run hardened PHP globally without CageFS?

Issue

With the approaching end-of-life (EOL) of CentOS 7, EasyApache's support for PHP 5.6 will be discontinued. This document outlines alternative methods for implementing hardened PHP globally without utilizing CageFS.

Environment

• CloudLinux
• cPanel
• PHP Selector

Solution

For single-user server environments, PHP Selector can be configured to operate without CageFS. Detailed configuration steps can be found in our documentation: PHP Selector without CageFS

For multi-account environments, you can implement a single hardened PHP version across all accounts by selecting the desired alt-php version from WHM > MultiPHP Manager.

Note: Users will not be able to switch PHP version to different one.
