How to install and enable the Imunify Security WordPress Plugin
Environment
- Imunify360
- ImunifyAV(+)
Solution
Method 1: Enable via CLI
To enable the WordPress plugin using the command line, run the following command:
This will enable the plugin globally across supported WordPress installations.
Method 2: Enable via UI
You can also enable the plugin through the Imunify360 / ImunifyAV(+) user interface:
-
Navigate to Imunify360 or ImunifyAV(+) settings in your control panel.
-
Scroll down to the WordPress Plugin section.
-
Check the box labeled Install WordPress plugin.
-
Click Save changes.
Note 1: please make sure to execute
/opt/imunify360/venv/share/imunify360/scripts/update_components_versions.py
to install the plugin immediately and skip waiting for the daily cron task to execute.
Note 2: WordPress plugin installation is automatically enabled on new ImunifyAV(+) installations with just 1 hosting account. Existing installation will not be affected.
If the WordPress plugin was automatically enabled, there should exist a config file 11_on_first_install_wp_av.config inside /etc/sysconfig/imunify360/imunify360.config.d/ .
