LiteSpeed returns 503 ("per-user LSAPI socket: No such file or directory") after a CageFS package update

Issue

After updating the CageFS/LVE-related packages on a CloudLinux server running LiteSpeed Web Server, hosted sites begin returning 503 Service Unavailable and PHP processing (for example via CloudLinux PHP Selector/lsphp) fails.

The LiteSpeed error log shows failures connecting to the per-user LSAPI (lsphp) socket under /usr/local/lsws/extapp-sock/, for example:

 connection to [uds://usr/local/lsws/extapp-sock/APVH_<user>_Suphp83.sock] ... error: Connection reset by peer!
 connection to [uds://usr/local/lsws/extapp-sock/APVH_<user>_Suphp83.sock] ... error: No such file or directory!
 Max retries has been reached, 503!
 oops! 503 Service Unavailable

Environment

• cagefs < 7.6.41-1

Solution

Update cagefs to 7.6.41-1 or higher
