How does billing work for Extended Lifecycle Support for CloudLinux OS 6 (CL OS 6 ELS)?

Customers want to know how billing works for Extended Lifecycle Support for CloudLinux OS 6 (CL OS 6 ELS)

Environment

• CloudLinux Legacy
• CloudLinux Solo
• CloudLinux Shared Pro
• CloudLinux OS 6

Solution

The system automatically detects the CloudLinux OS version installed on every registered server. The charge for CL OS 6 ELS is added for every server with the 6th version to the renewal invoice.

• The price of CL OS 6 ELS is 30% on top of the CloudLinux OS Shared price per month.
• By default, all servers running the 6th version of the CloudLinux OS on Dec 1st, 2020 will have the Allow to use CL6 repositories option enabled on each IP-based license. 

NB: CloudLinux OS 6 ELS is included in CloudLinux OS Shared Pro, meaning that no extra charges will be added if the server is registered using this product. 

• Customers who use key-based licensing accounts need to register a server using the CloudLinux OS activation key, while the system will add the charge for CL OS 6 ELS for every identified server with the 6th OS version. 
• Customers using IP-based licensing accounts must enable the Allow to use CL6 repositories option for each IP-based license.
