Custom iptables rules

Issue

Can I add custom iptables rules with Imunify360? What is the supported way of prepending firewall rules to the iptables INPUT chain with Imunnify360 active?

Environment

• Imunifu360 Firewall
• iptables

Solution

Imunify360 is fully compatible with iptables and it is possible to edit/manage iptables rules as usually on the server; no special additional actions are required if Imunify360 is used.

However, when adding rules, it is worth considering that rules can affect already created Imunify360 rules and chains, so after adding a custom rule, it is recommended to monitor Imunify360 for a while and make sure that the traffic on the server is handled correctly.
