Package update fails with: (Invalid version flag: if)

Environment

• CloudLinux OS 7

Solution

1. Reinstall OS release file
   

   # rpm -Uhv --nodeps --force --ignoreos
    https://repo.cloudlinux.com/cloudlinux/7.9/os/x86_64/Packages/cloudlinux-release-7.9-1.el7.x86_64.rpm

2. Ensure that no almalinux* repo files in /etc/yum.repos.d/
3. Re-register the server in CLN

Cause

CloudLinux OS release 8.x package was installed on CloudLinux 7 server
