Issue
To guide how to add IP-based or key-based licenses in the IP-based licensing account's portal, the main differences, how to install them and how to upgrade/downgrade an Imunify360 IP-based license.

Solution
IP-based licensing accounts have the option to choose between key-based or IP-based type of licenses depending on their needs. For further details, please refer to: What is the difference between an IP-based license and a key-based license?
IP-based licenses:
How to add IP-based licenses?
1. Login into CloudLinux Portal
2. Go to Dashboard > Select the product on the top menu.
3. Click on Add IP license on the product box you want.
4. Complete the IP field and confirm by clicking on the Add IP button.
How to activate an IP-based license?
Once the IP has been added to the portal as explained in the steps above, to activate the license, please run the IP-based command detailed in our articles:

How to upgrade/downgrade the IP-based Imunify360 license?
Please note that it's possible to upgrade/downgrade only IP-based Imunify360 licenses. On the contrary, this doesn't apply to key-based licenses, where the change needs to be done manually, first removing the current license and then re-registering it with the new type.
To upgrade/downgrade an IP-based Imunify360 license:
1. Go to Dashboard > Imunify360.
2. Click on Manage IP licenses under the product box.
3. Click on the pencil icon under the Actions column on the IP which license type you need to change.
4. Select the new product type.
5. Confirm by clicking on Save IP.
Key-based licenses:
How to add key-based licenses for CloudLinux OS Legacy?
1. Log in to the CloudLinux Portal
2. Click on CloudLinux OS (top menu);
3. Click on Server account;
4. Click on Add server account;
5. Complete the information;
6. Click the Add account button. Once it's done, a sub-account (IPR-XXXXXX) will be created and appear in the account.
7. To create an activation key, click on the server account name IPR-XXXXXX;
8. Click Create key.
9. Use the key to activate the license on the server.
How to add key-based licenses for ELS products?
IP-based licenses for ELS products are not supported, only key-based. To do so:
1. Log in to the CloudLinux Portal
2. Go to Dashboard > Select the product on the top menu.
3. Click on Manage Activation Keys on the product box you want to have.
4. Select Create activation key.
5. Use the key to activate the license on the server.
How to add key-based licenses for the rest of the products?
1. Log in to the CloudLinux Portal
2. Go to Dashboard > Select the product on the top menu.
3. Click on Manage Activation Keys on the product box you want to have.
4. Select Create activation key.
5. Use the key to activate the license on the server.
How to activate a key-based license?
