PHP 5.6 stopped working after imunify360-php-i360 update (Proactive Defense)

Issue

All sites running PHP 5.6 stopped working with segfaults after the latest update to our proactive defense and imunify360-php-i360.

An upgrade of imunify360-php-daemon and imunify360-php-i360 causes a PHP 5.6 Segmentation fault:

• sites with PHP 5.6 are showing 503 errors from the web server;
• Segmentation fault errors

Environment

• Any control panel
• Any OS
• Imunify360
• Proactive Defense

Solution

Our devs have resolved this issue within the latest update, which can be forced with:

imunify360-agent update proactive --force

Cause

Both 8.1.5-1/8.1.5-2 are affected, and downgrading to 8.1.4-1 fixes it or, forcing the update of our Proactive Defense.
