Background scans not running despite daily schedule configuration

Issue

Background scans are not running automatically, even though the Background Scanning schedule is set to run daily.

Error: 

/opt/imunify360/venv/lib64/python3.11/site-packages/imav/malwarelib/plugins/schedule_watcher.py: No paths to scan in scheduled background malware scan.

Solution

This issue has been fixed in Antivirus module 8.6.8:

imunify-antivirus-8.6.8-1.x86_64

Cause

This behavior was caused by a known bug affecting scheduled background scans. The fix is included starting from Imunify AV 8.6.8.
