Issue
How to Install CloudLinux 8/9 and migrate users and CloudLinux settings?
Environment
- CloudLinux 8
- CloudLinux 9
Solution
There are two options to install a new server with CloudLinux 8/9:
- Converting existing servers (Using existing AlmaLinux 9.3 server to CloudLinux 9.3)
-
Installing new servers (Using ISO image)
The first option is recommended and is described below. It implies the following path: AlmaLinux 8/9 > Control Panel > CloudLinux 8/9:
- Install AlmaLinux 8/9 as the base operating system.
-
Proceed with the installation of desired control panel on the AlmaLinux system (find the list of supported control panel here).
-
Once the Control Panel is installed and configured correctly, convert the server to CloudLinux using the appropriate procedures for converting existing servers.

- Migrate the user data manually (if needed).
