Issue
How to Install CloudLinux 8 migrating users and CloudLinux settings?
Environment
- CloudLinux 8
Solution
There are two options to install a new server with CloudLinux 8:
The first option is recommended and is described below. It implies the following path: AlmaLinux 8 > Control Panel > CloudLinux 8:
- Install AlmaLinux 8 (not 9) as the base operating system.
- Proceed with the installation of desired control panel on the AlmaLinux system (find the list of supported control panel here).
- Once the Control Panel is installed and configured correctly, convert the server to CloudLinux using the appropriate procedures for converting existing servers.
- If a trial license is required, check this documentation.
- If a trial license is required, check this documentation.
- Migrate the user data manually.
