Can I use fail2ban when running Imunify360 alongside?

Issue

Is it possible to use fail2ban simultaneously with the Imuinfy360 service?

Solution

If you currently have the fail2ban service active and running apart from Imunify360, we would recommend disabling it and leaving Imunify360 to be the primary IDS.

Cause

fail2ban also uses iptables and resets chains of firewall rules which causes inconsistency with Imunify360. More at:
